Why did you join the Junior League?

A bunch of my friends and I joined the League at the same time because it was a great excuse to spend time together, while learning how to become stellar volunteers.

What was your favorite placement and why?

Vice Chair of Dance Without Limits – We had the opportunity to bring a dance instructor into children’s lives who would otherwise not have had the opportunity.  It was fun to watch them improve week by week.  Plus, the instructor was teaching African dance which I happen to be a big fan of and we got to dance with the kids!

What do you see as one of the biggest turning points in your life?

The birth of my first child, Sam, was the biggest turning point in my life.  Don’t really think any explanation is needed there J

What is your favorite thing about living in Omaha?

No traffic, close to family, seeing friends I’ve had for 30 years, the changing of the seasons

French Bulldog

What other organizations are you affiliated with?

At the moment, I’m completing my last year as an Omaha Performing Arts Guild Board member and starting my first year on the JAMA board.

What is your favorite thing to do on a day off?

Play golf

What is your favorite season and why?

Fall because I love the weather and I know snow is coming soon, which I love.  I LOVE snowdays.

If you could go anywhere in the world where would you go?

Maine – #1 on my list of places to visit.

What is your favorite book or the last good book you read?

The last good book I read was The Tea Rose by Jennifer Donnelly.

What is your favorite all-time movie?

Rushmore

What is your favorite television show?

At the moment, Homeland.  I’m a sucker for the Real Housewives though….

Don’t procrastinate. (I wish I followed it)

If you could have a super power, what would it be?

The ability to talk to animals.
