Why did you join the Junior League?
I joined the Junior League of Omaha to get involved in the community and meet like-minded women. I have loved my JLO experience and am proud to be part of such an amazing organization.
What was your favorite placement and why?
I have loved all of my placements because I learned something in each one and had the opportunity to get to know some amazing women. My top five are President, A Book of My Own Chair, Financial Vice-President, Nominating Chair and American Girl Fashion Show Treasurer.
What is your favorite thing about living in Omaha?
I love being close to family. I love that Omaha has lots to do and lots of restaurants. I love that Omaha is not too small so there are lots of opportunities like a big city, but not too big that I have to spend hours in the car to get across town.
What other organizations are you affiliated with?
Rose Theater Guild Board, Completely KIDS Guild Board, Child Saving Institute Guild Board, Fontenelle Forest Guild Board, Symphony Guild and PTA
What is your favorite thing to do on a day off?
I love to just sit at the pool and read a good book.
What is your favorite all-time movie?
I love Can’t Buy Me Love with Patrick Dempsey and I loved it way before Grey’s. Great 80’s movie!
What is the most unique or interesting thing about you that most people probably don’t know?
My husband and I got engaged after only knowing each other for 8 ½ months and we met on a blind date.
If you had a theme song, what would it be?
This year my theme song would be Manic Monday because Mondays are crazy in general, but the 2nd Monday of the month is really nuts. I have the Fontenelle Forest Guild Meeting, Rose Theater Guild Meetings and the General Meeting.
What is one of your favorite quotes?
“It is good to have an end to journey towards; but it is the journey that matters in the end.”
