Why did you join the Junior League? I joined the Junior League of Omaha to meet more like-minded women. I have met a lot of wonderful ladies and I am so glad I joined!

Tell us about your family? I am blessed with a wonderful family! I am the oldest of four kids. I have two younger sisters and a younger brother. I’m the only child living in Omaha right now and I get lots of quality time with my fantastic parents!

College: I completed my undergrad studies at UNL and my graduate studies at UNO.

Sorority: I am a proud Chi Omega!  (Kappa chapter at UNL)

 

Job/Business: I am a Home Care Consultant for Home Instead Senior Care. I love my job because every day is different. I get to educate people on our home care services, work with families and seniors and network with other professionals. 

What are your favorite restaurant(s) in Omaha?

There are far too many delicious restaurants in Omaha to choose just one or two. However, I cannot get enough sushi so Hiro and Blue never get old!

What other organizations are you affiliated with?

I am currently serving as the co-chair of the Dementia Care Conference put on by the Alzheimer’s Association. I serve as a committee member for the American Heart Association’s Sweetheart Program. The Sweetheart Program is a young leadership program for high school girls. I also serve on a fundraising committee for Community 360’s Canvas and Cabernet event. Community 360 recruits and trains volunteers to go into nursing homes. I also assist with the silent auction for Mosaic’s annual gala.

What is your favorite season and why?

I love summer time! My parents have a house on a lake and I my perfect day is hanging by the lake while sipping on a cocktail…or two. J

If you could go anywhere in the world where would you go?

I would love to go to Africa. I have always wanted to do some sort of a mission trip and hope that I get the chance to do so soon!

What is your favorite television show?

Downton Abby is one of my favorites! It would be a dream to guest start on the show….have Anna pick out a fabulous outfit for me to wear, attend luncheon at the Crawley estate…a girl can dream right?!!

If you could have a super power, what would it be?

If I had a super power it would be teleportation. I have so many family members and friends that are spread out throughout the US and the world. I would love to be able to visit them whenever I want!

What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?

The best piece of my advice I have received is so simple… “Stop being afraid.” I have applied this to so many aspects of my life (work, friendships, philanthropy, dating). If I gather up the courage to doing something that makes me uncomfortable or to take risks, it ends up to be so rewarding.
